The Ilesoniq Festival is a spectacular event to observe in the month of August, which is also considered as the Ilesoniq month. This particular month celebrates the ancient belief of the Ilesoni people who believe that water and the sun are their gods and that they can make the world green again by drinking the sacred water called “Ilesoli” or the white water. It is believed that this water from the Ilesoniq River flows into the sea and returns back again to the place where it originated from.
